Microsoft 365
Microsoft 365 (formerly Microsoft Office 365) is a line of business software subscription services offered by Microsoft and includes the Microsoft Office product line.
Microsoft 365 comes in a number of different plans, each with its own combination of products and storage limits. The key components for most business customers include:
‘Exchange’ hosted email, including anti-spam and email antivirus
OneDrive for Business cloud storage
Microsoft Teams for collaboration and communications
Microsoft Office productivity apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) – including versions for Windows and Mac, plus web-based online versions for most of these products.

Google Workspace
Google Workspace, previously known as ‘Google Apps’, is the granddaddy of online productivity suites. Like Microsoft 365, it includes a variety of products and services, but unlike 365, all of Google Workspace’s services are online-only. These include:

Amazon AWS
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s largest supplier of cloud-based hosted infrastructure and services. Our customers use AWS to host their own applications and databases and also to use the hundreds of advanced services that AWS provides.
AWS provides services from 26 distinct locations (or ‘regions’), allowing our customers to securely host their applications and systems closest to their customers and users. In 2024 AWS plans to establish a region in Auckland. Until then most Choice Technology customers host their systems in AWS Sydney, but we currently support and manage customer systems in AWS environments all over the world.
Choice Technology has over 10 years of experience in the design, implementation, build and support of AWS solutions. We currently support dozens of customer systems and many terabytes of data on AWS for a variety of customers in New Zealand and Australia.
We use an advanced ‘infrastructure as code’ (IaC) approach to deploying and managing customer systems on AWS, which allows us to design and deploy customer environments faster, with less cost and less human error.
Microsoft Azure
Azure is Microsoft’s answer to AWS. It comprises hundreds of cloud-based services that are offered from Microsoft-managed data centes around the world.
Although it’s a Microsoft service and was originally branded ‘Windows Azure’, Microsoft Azure supports Linux and all other major operating systems and application platforms.
